Your mission
As an Industrial Designer at Vesoma, you design a humanoid robot built to live and work beside people. You own the human side of the product: the surfaces, materials, and details people see and touch. You are involved in every stage of development and work at every scale, from the first impression to the smallest fastener.
You will join Vesoma's internal design studio. The studio owns everything from product strategy and early concepts to final CAD surfaces and brand assets. Your core is industrial design, but we look for range. A wide set of interests and skills lets you support needs across the whole company.
Key responsibilities
- Shape how the robot looks and feels. Develop the design language from first sketch to production part. Keep it consistent across every part you touch.
- Own your scope of the exterior. Design the outer surfaces assigned to you and make them work through the full range of motion. Define panel gaps, parting lines, and material intent. Solve pinch points, collisions, and cable routing with mechanical engineering. Hold fit and finish all the way to production.
- Design for the people around it. Find every point where people meet the robot: handles, contact surfaces, indicators, controls. Map them early and design them on purpose.
- Work alongside engineering, not after it. Partner with manufacturing and systems integration so every design can be prototyped fast and built at volume.
- Carry the language past the robot. Packaging, accessories, and everything else people handle. Give them the same care.
- Sketch, model, render, and prototype daily. Work on paper and in tools like Fusion 360, Blender, KeyShot, and Photoshop. Judge ideas in physical form when possible, not just on screen.
- Present and own your work. Present directly to the Head of Design and stakeholders. Argue clearly for your ideas, take feedback on board, and plan the next steps.
Your profile
We look for designers who are also makers. People who take on complex problems, take pride in their work, and hold precision as high as innovation and beauty.
Experience: 4+ years as an industrial designer, in-house or at a design studio or consultancy. We hire on the portfolio: range across product categories, depth in form and surface. An exceptional portfolio outweighs years.
Core Skills: Detailed, millimeter-precise CAD, including production-quality surfacing. Fast, clear sketching, on paper or digital. Renders that sell an idea in one image. Hands-on model making for rapid prototyping and mockups.
Mindset: You have exceptional taste and the range to use it: form, material, interaction, brand. You ask why a thing should exist before you decide how it looks. You are happy to do more than design work. You carry the agility of a startup and the rigor of a segment-leading design studio.
Helpful (but not required) skills and experience
Parametric, T-spline, and surface modeling in Fusion 360.
Products that move: robotics, wearables, automotive, or consumer electronics.
Design for manufacture: injection molding, die casting, sheet metal, LSR.
Soft goods or hard-soft interfaces.
Graphic design, packaging, or art direction.
Time on the factory floor with suppliers.
Why us?
The Team: Work alongside leadership with a proven track record of building unicorn-scale companies and defining global robotics standards.
Smart Strategy: We operate as disciplined fast followers. Capital is timed to the deployment inflection point, avoiding early-mover dead ends to scale fast on proven foundations.
Resources: We are substantially internally funded and attract top-tier investors to avoid any capital constraints for our mission.
Historic Opportunity: Join at the dawn of a new industry comparable to the rise of the automobile. Help shape the European champion in this trillion-dollar market.
