Your mission

The role
As a Senior Mechatronics Engineer, you join the early team and own the head of our humanoid - an industrial-grade machine built for the highest levels of reliability and performance. It is where perception, interaction and identity come together: a densely packed system of mechanics, electronics, sensing and human-machine interfaces, integrated seamlessly within surfaces defined by Industrial Design. Whatever your background in robotics, consumer electronics or automotive, you bring deep mechatronic integration expertise to every board, sensor and surface you touch, and you take pride in turning a striking design into a robust, manufacturable product.

Your profile

Key responsibilities
  • Head Architecture: Own the full mechatronic architecture of the head - from package and layout concepts to production-ready CAD - balancing space, mass, thermal, EMC and serviceability requirements, and defining the head-to-body interface together with the adjacent engineering teams.
  • Electronics & Sensor Integration: Integrate PCBAs, sensors, displays and lighting into one coherent system, including mounting, alignment, sealing, cabling and connectors.
  • Industrial Design Implementation: Partner closely with Industrial Design to translate their shapes and Class-A surfaces into engineered housings, covers and transparent or translucent parts - without compromising design intent, function or manufacturability.
  • Functional Performance: Ensure the mechanical design enables peak performance of every integrated component, from sensing and interaction to thermal management.
  • DFM/DFA Excellence: Design every component for manufacturability and assembly at scale from day one, working closely with the workshop, suppliers and supply chain to eliminate late-stage redesigns.
  • Mentorship & Standards: Establish the organization's standards for electronics integration and surface-driven design, and mentor junior engineers in mechatronic integration best practices.
Who we are looking for
We seek builders ready to move beyond theory to real deployment: professionals who value precision and reliability as much as innovation - and who care as much about how a product looks and feels as about how it works.

Must have
  • Experience: 5+ years in mechatronic product development in robotics, consumer electronics, automotive (e.g. lighting, cockpit, ADAS sensors) or similar high-tech industries. A proven track record of shipping complex, densely integrated hardware products is essential.
  • Mastery of CAD & Surface Modeling: Expert level in CAD, including advanced surface modeling and the implementation of Class-A data from Industrial Design.
  • Electronics Integration: Hands-on experience integrating PCBAs, harnesses and connectors, including ECAD/MCAD collaboration and EMC-aware mechanical design.
  • Sensors, Displays & Audio: Proven experience integrating cameras, sensors, displays, lighting, microphones and speakers.
  • DFM/DFA Proficiency: Strong command of design for series production, focusing on manufacturing-driven design optimization, parts reduction, assembly-friendly tolerancing and cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) reduction.
  • Mindset: You balance startup agility with the rigor of industrial-grade engineering. You bridge design and engineering, defending design intent and engineering reality with equal conviction - and you design for the impacts, heat, dust and vibration a robot faces outside a rendering.
Nice to have
  • Thermal Management: A good understanding of passive and active cooling for compact, enclosed electronics.
  • Plastics & Housings: A good understanding of injection molding, two-component and transparent parts, surface finishes and textures, sealing concepts (IP rating) and snap-fit/fastening design.
  • Perception Integration: Experience packaging cameras and sensors for long-term calibration stability.
  • Human-Machine Interface: Experience integrating the interaction elements that give a product its presence and expression.
  • Robotics Fundamentals: Working understanding of humanoid and/or industrial robotics systems - how perception, actuation and control interact.

Why us?

  • The Team: Work alongside leadership with a proven track record of building unicorn-scale companies and defining global robotics standards.

  • Smart Strategy: We operate as disciplined fast followers. Capital is timed to the deployment inflection point, avoiding early-mover dead ends to scale fast on proven foundations.

  • Resources: We are substantially internally funded and attract top-tier investors to avoid any capital constraints for our mission.

  • Historic Opportunity: Join at the dawn of a new industry comparable to the rise of the automobile. Help shape the European champion in this trillion-dollar market.
