Your mission

You will join us as our Strategic Sourcing Manager, reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain, owning strategic sourcing across the categories that make up our robot's bill of materials. You'll build and lead supplier relationships from early development through mass production, working closely with engineering to make sure sourcing decisions keep pace with the product as it matures. It's a role that combines commercial rigor with hands-on ownership.

Key responsibilities

  • End-to-end strategic sourcing: supplier identification, RFI/RFQ/RFP execution, negotiation, and contracting for different categories (such as electrics, electronics, structural or mechanical parts)

  • Partnering with Engineering on component selection and lead NPI readiness, flagging sourcing risk before design decisions are locked in

  • Should-cost modeling and cost-reduction tracking, feeding the broader make-vs-buy and production-architecture decisions

  • Supply-continuity risk management: lead-time and allocation tracking, dual-sourcing strategy, and monitoring market intelligence on pricing and capacity for a category with several long-lead, single-source items today

  • Lead industrialization phase at suppliers, leading component maturation and qualification

  • Maintaining accurate sourcing data, vendor records, and PO status in ERP (Odoo)

Your profile

We seek builders ready to move beyond demos to real-world deployment - professionals who value precision and reliability as much as innovation.

  • Experience: 4-8 years in commodity management, strategic procurement, or supply chain, with direct experience sourcing different categories of components

  • Education: Master's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

  • Track Record: Running RFQ processes, negotiating supply agreements, and building should-cost models

  • Mindset: Comfortable operating without an established process - you'll be building the playbook, not inheriting one

  • Tools: Experience with an ERP/procurement system

  • Mobility: Ability to travel for supplier visits and audits

Nice to have

  • Background in robotics, automotive electronics, or another fast-moving hardware startup

  • Familiarity with qualification processes (FAI, PPAP) and VDA-style NPI gates

  • A professional certification (CPSM, CPM, CSCP)
